Stockton Shoot covers 6,500 acres in the Wylye Valley in South West Wiltshire.
The country is typical of the chalk downland of Salisbury Plain with dry valleys, some steep banks, and small woods which is ideal for redleg partridge shooting in the autumn leading into mixed days later in the season. On the southern end of the shoot, Stockton Wood and its environs are ancient woodland which provide classic pheasant drives.
